First thing I did, as soon as I hit downtown Austin, is head over to join all of the cool kids from the Los Angeles tech scene for the Silicon Beach Sunday Funday.
We’ve been keeping our eye on the booming success seen by start-ups in our own backyard. Venice Beach is a hub of tech, thusly earning its nickname of Silicon Beach. Today, KCRW was honored to be a part of that story in Austin, TX.
The event was going down at my single most favorite hot dog joint in the universe, Frank. There were tons of opportunities to chat with folks from back home about what we have going on in the digital space as well as learning about an array of great digital products they provide, but the party really got bumping quickly as SXSWi attendees from all over the nation lined up outside, waiting to see why our little corner of the country is so buzzy in tech!
These were my personal favs that you could check out!
Glossi: A new publishing platform that enables anyone to create and share their own digital magazines across devices. No design or technical skills required. (http://glossi.com)
Mobile Roadie: Mobile Roadie is a powerful mobile platform that helps you build an app, build an audience and monetize users. (http://mobileroadie.com)
